Mise en Place
Today was the "seasoning" day which implies cutting, chopping, grinding, but it's a lot easier to do it one day and refrigerate and freeze to use later. This colorful concoction is use to flavor chicken, meat and grains, seemingly simple but with layers. To Puerto Ricans  this would be a sofrito mix, to yours truly, this is simply "Sazon Casero" and the best part, it's natural, homemade and no unpronounceable ingredients.
